About
Licensed Professional Counselor, MS, LCMHC
Starting therapy can be really intimidating. It takes courage to recognize there are things you want to change. With 15 years of experience in the field, I have developed a passion for helping people. If you’re feeling down, anxious, untethered, are struggling with physical health concerns or a combination of the above, therapy could be a great option for you. Sometimes my clients aren’t sure what they want, they just know things could be better – that’s ok too. Let’s work together to figure it out. – Hillary
Therapy can offer huge relief from depression and teach you the skills to get better. It can also help you “reset” your anxiety response, by retraining your body and your brain to bring it down to normal, helpful levels. I draw from CBT, DBT, and other modalities as needed but don’t worry if this sounds like a foreign language! I’ll help you figure it out.
It can be intimidating to start therapy – people worry about what to expect, what to talk about, how to act. Just remember that it’s my job to help you feel comfortable and safe, and we’ll collaborate to see what therapy style will be the best fit for you. Welcome to the judgment-free zone.
